Elissa Robertson
Director & Licensed Conveyancer
Licensed Conveyancer No. 342L, CPC (Australian Institute of Conveyancers Vic), F.Inst.L.Ex.
Elissa has spent more than 30 years in property law and conveyancing. She ran her own practice, Robertson Conveyancing, before co-founding BE Conveyancing + Law Collective with Bev Adams in 2025. She now leads the firm’s conveyancing team and looks after how the practice runs day to day.
Elissa was one of the first conveyancers in Victoria to take up digital settlements, and she’s always looking for a better way to do things. She handles residential and commercial sales and purchases, transfers and complex property matters. Clients know her for her eye for detail and for keeping them in the loop, so nothing about settlement day comes as a surprise.
She and Bev found early on that they shared the same values, and BE grew out of that. For Elissa, every sale or purchase is the start of someone’s next chapter, and she wants each client to feel informed and looked after the whole way through.
Elissa lives locally with her husband Tony. Together they have five kids and two much-loved toy poodles, and family is a big part of her world. Outside work she enjoys yoga, meditation and anything to do with personal growth. She’s curious about people and what makes them tick, and about how we can all keep learning and make the most of life.
Bev Adams
Principal Lawyer
LLB (Hons), Dip. Financial Services (Conveyancing), Member of the Law Institute of Victoria
Bev has more than 30 years in law. She started out at city law firms, then spent ten years as a partner at Bardoel & Adams. In 2025 she co-founded BE Conveyancing + Law Collective with Elissa Robertson, and she now leads our legal team.
Her work centres on property. She advises on commercial and retail leases and handles property matters that are complex.
If you’re buying or selling a business, Bev will walk you through it from the first contract to settlement day. When it’s time to step back, she can help you plan your exit too.
She also helps people plan ahead with wills and powers of attorney. When the time comes, she guides families through probate and estate administration.
Bev lives in Bayside and is a mum of three. If you see her walking the beach path between Sandringham and Parkdale, say hello. If you’d like help with a property, business or estate matter, she’d love to hear from you.
Georgia Gledhill-Edmunds
Lawyer
Bachelor of Laws (LLB), Deakin University
Georgia works across property law, including residential and commercial transactions, as well as a range of other legal matters. She takes a practical, careful approach and gives clear advice that helps clients understand their options and decide what's right for them.
Georgia is now growing her practice in wills, estate planning and probate, working under the supervision of Bev Adams. She enjoys helping people through important legal and personal decisions, so they can move forward with confidence.
Elena Muravyova
Senior Conveyancer
Diploma of Conveyancing, Certificate IV in Business Administration
Elena works on residential sales and purchases, and she guides clients through each step from the contract to settlement. [Years of experience, previous roles and when she joined BE.]
She knows that buying or selling a property can be exciting and stressful at the same time, so she keeps each matter organised and moving, and makes sure her clients always know what’s happening. Her favourite moment is passing on the news that a property has settled and sharing in her clients’ excitement.
Outside work, Elena is a busy mum and is usually out and about with her son. She loves time with family and friends, finding good restaurants, staying active, and planning her next beach holiday. She’s been baking since she was young and still does whenever she gets the chance.
Karen Beacall
Senior Conveyancer
Dip. Financial Services (Conveyancing), RMIT
Karen has worked in conveyancing for more than 20 years. She completed her Diploma of Financial Services (Conveyancing) at RMIT in 2009, and [previous roles and when she joined BE].
Karen looks after clients buying and selling property, [types of matters, e.g. residential, commercial, off-the-plan]. She’s known for her eye for detail, and she takes the time to explain each step so clients know where things stand from contract through to settlement.
Outside work, Karen spends most of her time with her dogs. She competes in dog agility, so when she’s not at her desk you’ll often find her out training or at a competition.
Janine Sallows
Senior Conveyancer
Janine has worked in conveyancing for several decades. [Previous roles and when she joined BE.] She has lived in Cheltenham for 37 years and raised her family here, so she knows the area and the community well.
She helps people buy and sell homes and investment properties, and she takes them through each step so they feel looked after from start to finish. Her favourite part of the job is ringing a client on settlement day to tell them the property is theirs.
Outside work, Janine makes the most of time with family and close friends. Camping holidays are a favourite, and she plays netball, golf and lawn bowls.
Carolyn Taylor
Practice Manager
Carolyn has more than 30 years of experience in operations and business management, both here and affiliated companies in Hong Kong. Her background covers strategic sourcing, printing, risk and the day-to-day running of a business, and joined BE in April 2026.
At BE, Carolyn keeps the practice running smoothly behind the scenes, so the lawyers and conveyancers can focus on their clients. She looks after the systems, processes and risk management that help every matter stay organised and on track.
Carolyn lives in Bayside, and when she’s not at work you’ll often find her fishing.
